An illustration of a model from Fendi catwalk from Spring/Summer collection for 2012. I loved the geometrical shapes of the clothing, especially the white collar. I also found the patterns of the shirt and skirt really interesting, which gave it a bit retro look. The whole outfit is a great mix of elegance and eclectic feeling - I love it!

Looking forward to seeing simmilar designs in 2012 in cheaper stores ;) Happy new year 2012 - let it be fashionable, artistic and chic!

Since last year there has been ran a competition for Fashion Illustration students at LCF for Orchid - the campaign promoting the testicle cancer awarness. A student has to create a T-shirt which will will be sold at House of Fraser in London, if it wins. Here is my entry - a bit provocative, but why not giving a chance. An illustration of a guy after a paintball game - wearing goggles in a blue color of Orchid's logo. A game of words in paintBALLS and not to get hit by one of them - which of course is the symbol for cancer. I hope it makes sense... and please wish me luck! :)

Some recent illustrations for various class projects. I have been recently exploring many vintage techniques, inspired by old fashion illustration books.
I think ink (rhyme!) works well with my style - but then again I don't want to give up my pencil draiwngs. I was recommended by my tutor illustrator Sue Dray to explore many techniques and try to mix them - since as she claimed I am naturally very talented and I can go for various styles. :)

I have been busy with music lately a lot... but finally one of my dreams came true - I recorded my demo! :) Now further polish ups are being made and I'll be ready for next big moves. The final effect is going to be AMAZING.

In a meanwhile I did my first international commission for Spindle Magazine (London fashion mag) of YAAKS band. What a lovely mix of music and illustration - what I love most in life!

I know I haven't been very active on my blog lately, but it's all because of my other passion - music. I have been busy with my upcoming demo (which I will start recording next week), personal concerts and taking part in a music tv show "Voice of Poland". Here's my very musical piece of artwork - a delicate self-portrait on my music poster (the basis - it lacks the info about date etc). If you're interested in my musical soul - check out my myspace. Baltona - Bluszcz magazine 06.2011

An illustration to a column by famous polish movie director J. Machulski.
The sailor is the symbol of an old-school duty free shop "Baltona", which was very popular during the communism times in Poland. The director tells the story, how he had to make 10 ad clips in a few days for this brand. One of them was in a form of a spontaneous interview, where random pedestrians were asked: "What does "Baltona" remind you of?" - and this is what's written in the right corner.

Unfortunately I had to change the illustration into horizontal one: the first version looked like this:

This is my entry for a prestigous graphic contest GrafEx.
I picked a category to create a triple portrait of chosen actors (out of 6). So here are Marlene Dietrich, Elizabeth Taylor and Lindsay Lohan.
The piece is very minimal, because I wanted to focus on the characters and the message about the queens.

I am more than happy to write, that I just have received an information, that I have been accepted to London College of Fashion at Fashion Illustration faculty. The satisfaction is even greater knowing, that on the interview there were about 15 people and I was chosen as one of them (I dunno the exact number of students, around 10?). So I still cannot believe it and I am so much looking forward to studying at this prestigous university in a eclectic, vivid city which is London! Yayyy! :D

S!C Fashion is a new, alternative brand with high quality tees. It was a wonderful pleasure to be asked and design illustrations for them! I created drawings, which were about to show S!C's characteritics - controversial, witty, sexy, creative. The premiere of designs was yesterday. I was so happy to hear, that in one day almost all orders for first collection t-shirts were filled and there is not much left (and this is all before printing). SiC! :)
The second collection will be coming within few months and hopefully there will be more clothing than tees - sweatshirts, underwear...

I attended the amazing and great workshops mentioned in title. These were 3-day VERY INTENSIVE and creative hours with popular and amazing polish illustrators (eg. Endo, Anna Halarewicz). The atmosphere, the talks, the ideas.. they influenced my artsy soul so much, I felt just like at the right place, working on my fashion illustration pieces. I FEEL SO MUCH POWER! The best (and most;) of them stayed at Centrum Cybernetyki, to appear on the exhibit on 17th Dec. After that I will publish my works on my blog :)
It was a truly amazing artistic experience. I want to be a fashion illustrator!!! I feel like I rediscovered something, that was a bit asleep for a while inside of me. But it's obviously me...

Some of the pieces that I saved for myself- the best is yet to come!

I was a lucky artist to take part as a graphic designer/illustrator during the biggest fairs for electronic devices ON/OFF in Warsaw. I was there to present a tablet Kanvus which -to my surprise - turned out to be a good tool. Not as good as Wacom Intuos of course, but in my opinion much better than Bamboo.

I met there many fantastic people there and got many compliments on my artwork. There were also the represantants of a famous polish magazine for computer games Cd-Action, who noticed me and asked, if I could paint their logo. The result is above. It will be published in the December 2010 issue, along with my photos :)

I will post here soon also other works, that I created during this fair. It was a lot of fun.

I'm not going to fall.

That day I went to the exhibition 'Moderne Zeiten' in Neue Nationalgalerie in Potsdamer Platz. As a fan of german expressionism, dada and cubism, I was obviously delighted. I haven't seen such good collection of art since I went to an exhibition in Jan'10 in New York City's 'Neue Galerie'. Kirchner, Kokoschka, Munch, Schad, Arp, Dix... I also discovered some new names that I have to research.

Zapalę sobie, a co.

To był zawsze moj symbol zagubienia, zimnego podmuchu zawirowań nocnych, eskapady w nicość pogrążonej w jakiejś chorej historii.

Tymvzasem - czemu by nie zmieniać nawyków, nie nadawać im nowych znaczeń?

Tym razem niech koniec tlącego się papierosa oznacza spokój.
Przynajmniej do daty jego terminu ważności.
Oby był jak najdłuższy, oby jeszcze zachował świeżość, gdy to może ja się przeterminuję.

Niech sięga daleko, niech zaskakuje wszystkich, gdyż ja samą siebie dawno tak nie zaskakiwałam.

Że też jednak codzienność może nie boleć, a kłębek rozmów może przynieść ukojenie. Dziwnie drżą mi palce i mózg, niby jak zawsze, ale innym rytmem.

Romantyzm nocy, zimnych pocalunkow, niedowierzanie zmyslowosci - to chyba spokoj, jakiego szukalam.
Zaskakujaca kulminacja emocji, oczekiwan, zadartych ran, ukradkowych spojrzen.

Czego on ode mnie chce?

Jak to sie stało, ze niepostrzezenie uslyszalam zakazane marzeniom slowa?

Bezpieczenstwo nigdy nie znalazlo tak wygodnego bytu.
Smiech nigdy nie brzmial tak naturalnie.
Spojrzenie oczu nigdy nie bylo tak glebokie.
Jazn nigdy nie byla tak okielznana.
Niesamowite, niesamowite, ze prawda moze okazac sie prawdziwa.
Czas zludzen, czyzby nadszedl ich koniec?
Poranek w cieplym ciele i glebokim spojrzeniu uswiadamia mi, ze chyba nadeszla nowa epoka, dzinwe, marzenie na jawie. Bezpieczenstwo przykryte koldra i kocem w panterke.
Igraszki na deszczu, pod parasolem, w biegu po kawe, w ciemnym kinie, strasznym filmie, rozmowach i dyskusjach bez konca, milczeniu bez ciezaru i powinnosci slow.

Nagle, po bladzeniu, po trzech latach, zatoczylo sie burzliwe kolo wspominek. W lesie, na calopaleniu drzacych migawek blasku lamiacych sie warg.

It's rather more possible to understand mainly for polish people or those, who have ever vistited Warsaw. 'Warszafka' is a critical and slang word for calling our
capital, which means the atmosphere that you can somwewhow feel there - fast living, people chacing the success, being bossy. Inoticed that many younger ppl from warsaw adore wearing high brand polos - and there HAS TO be a logo on it. The more you show off with it and it is visible, the better and the more 'cool' you are. It makes me somehow laugh, since ppl abroad wear the same polos with much less pride and snobbism. And I also included the game with words - 'szafka' in polish means 'wardrobe'. The logo on the polo is a siren, which is an official sign of Warsaw. I made the whole project simple, in order to focus on the idea itself.
